In Cincinnati we have an ivy that grows up the trunks of trees and into the canopy of trees. If left unchecked these vines will take over the tree and kill the tree.
What is this vine called?
There are some of us who are in an active fight against these vines using a saw and hammer.

I have the same vine/weed in Chicagoland suburbs. What is it and how do you kill it. One thing I noticed that I pulled some of the weed out of tha ground and cut it, well now it’s like oozing where I cut it. Is that because of the sun?
